How to use for best results:

• Rub a little vegetable fat such as Trex onto a non-stick board and roll out your black fondant or flower paste until it is thin.

• Grease the cutter and place onto the paste, pushing into the paste firmly at the sides.

• Remove the cutter and surplus paste using a scriber or cocktail stick to remove the small pieces from around the legs, making sure not to stretch the legs out of shape.

• Use a small plastic knife to remove the silhouette onto a sponge drying pad, using the cutter to check the leg positions and then leave to dry for approximately 10 minutes before moistening the back with water to attach to your cake.

You can also colour the designs by cutting them out in a base colour of sugarpaste, then brushing a little lustre dust to highlight certain areas or mixing the lustre dust with alcohol to paint on the features you desire.
